Pet-Lovers' Easy Way To Help Animals --
Each day, go to www.theanimalrescuesite.com and click on the purple "click here to give" button. For each click, the website sponsors donate food and care for rescued homeless companion animals who are in animal shelters. It’s so easy for us feel good about helping in this way and it costs us nothing, except a few seconds of time.

Thanks for this info - have been doing this - put it in my favorites.
Another idea - works for me - if you like to work out - can sign up to walk dogs at the local shelter. If you walk 6-7 dogs, each one around the soccer field, that comes to about 1-1/2 miles - much better doing that for the sweet and needy doggies than just walking a track!
